At Starling Hub CIC, our projects are designed to respond to real community needs by creating opportunities for connection, learning and personal development.
Our work focuses on supporting individuals who may face barriers to participation, social integration or access to opportunities. Through inclusive programmes and community initiatives, we aim to create welcoming environments where people can build confidence, develop skills and strengthen their connection to the community around them.

The Refugee & Migrant Integration Programme is a community initiative designed to support individuals and families who are adjusting to life in Birmingham after relocating from other countries.
For many newly arrived individuals, settling into a new environment can be challenging. Language barriers, unfamiliar systems, limited social networks and lack of access to opportunities can make integration difficult.
This project has been developed to provide a supportive environment where participants can connect with others, develop practical skills and build confidence as they navigate their new community.
Participants will have access to regular group sessions designed to provide a safe and welcoming space where individuals can connect, share experiences and build supportive relationships.
Sessions may include:

The programme also aims to support participants in building practical skills that improve access to employment and further training.
Participants may receive support with:
The programme may also include short sector-based training opportunities designed to support employment readiness, such as:
These training opportunities help participants gain confidence and develop skills that support long-term independence.
Building community connections is a key part of the project. Alongside training and support sessions, the programme includes community activities that help participants develop friendships and feel more connected to their local environment.
These activities may include social gatherings, community events and family-friendly trips designed to create shared experiences and strengthen relationships between participants and the wider community.
To ensure the project reaches those who would benefit most, Starling Hub CIC engages in outreach activities within local communities.
These may include:
This approach helps ensure that newly settled individuals and families can access the support and opportunities offered by the programme.

As Starling Hub CIC continues to grow, we aim to develop additional initiatives that support wellbeing, community participation and access to opportunities.
Future projects may include:
By working closely with local communities and partners, we aim to ensure that our projects continue to respond to real community needs and create meaningful positive impact.
